From Ad, to all of those affected by the recent banings as a result of privacy concerns:

Ad (myself) would like to extend a personal apology to members who were removed from the site for connections to the entity in question, and also to names who were confirmed to have no part in the current situation. These names are as follows: Selcar, Flarecarrot, Thirdeye, Archer, Cannibal lovely, Miniar, and Hydroark.  These individuals, if members OKA, may appeal via email to have their memberships reinstated. Reinstatement will be granted so long as the rules are followed.  Also, Ad would like to extend his personal thanks to Miniar for working with our other administrator, Qarael, in a reasonable and exceptional manner, to see that the problem was resolved quickly and with due respect to the people involved.

Here at OKA, we take privacy threats very seriously — most seriously when innocent children are involved. Exposing sensitive information, on or off-board, or putting the safety of a minor at risk are very serious offenses and we react and investigate to these instances very quickly.  Sometimes in that haste we neglect to pull our punches, and innocent people fall to blows.  So thank you to Miniar for handling a delicate situation with so much regard and so much maturity.

On a more personal note, I am a parent.  I always err on the side of caution where my child is concerned.  However, I’m also human, and I make mistakes. I made a mistake in trusting one or two people, who later sought to deride my child in a public location. Out of total anger and fear on behalf of my child, I lashed out at an entire group of individuals. Since the situation has been clarified and the proper people held accountable, and the offending information removed, I am now in a much better position to speak regarding my feelings on it. And my feelings are always strong when it comes to protecting my child.

Once again, thank you, Miniar, for working with us and having the information removed, and my apologies to those who were not involved but punished for their affiliations.
