Welcome to Otherkin Alliance (OKA)!  Whether you are arriving here by word of mouth, Internet search, or a happy accident, we are happy to have you here.

A few things you might want to know before going further, is just what this site is and isn’t about. OKA is a website devoted to the topic of Otherkin – the spiritual or psychological identification with beings or archetypes which are not human.  As such, this website is best describe as an exploration of “alternative spirituality”.  The Otherkin community at large welcomes all varieties of “other” (including therians and vampiric individuals), as well as individuals who are non-identifying but curious.  In general, however, we do not look fondly on individuals who “roleplay” as Otherkin. If this is your purpose, this site will not be suitable for your entertainment needs.

To find out more, you may view our FAQ section, regarding both Otherkin and this website in particular. Our Articles section can are also viewable for information on a wide variety of topics. Also, if you plan to engage in chat or forum discussion, please view the Code of Conduct before signing up for an account.

We hope you find the content of this site informative, and we look forward to seeing you on the forum/in chat!

All the best,
The OKA Staff

We would like to remind all members that we have a strict no-delete policy here on OKA.  This policy is in place because we have seen throughout our years in service to the Otherkin community, “drama” can cause people to withdraw valuable information for no purpose other than self-satisfaction.  We view this behaviour as a great disservice to the community, so our no-delete policy is intended to stop this tendency for selfishness in its tracks.

This is not a new policy – it has been a part of our community for years already, and it is clearly stated in our rules.  By submitting content to OKA, you agree to these terms, and grant us to publish articles (if applicable) on our main site as we see fit. This policy also applies to our forum. The no-delete policy may only be repealed under extreme circumstances, such as protection of the author’s identity and safety.  Otherwise, the deletion of any content by an OKA member may result in the permanent banning of their account.

Regards,
Qarael
OKA Administrator

After a long hiatus, member registration has reopened for the OKA forums. Please be aware, however, that account approvals still might take some time to sort through, as the staff are quite busy at the moment with offline obligations.  We expect to regain a modicum of regularity after the start of the new year.

Regards,
-Qarael
OKA Administrator

From Ad, to all of those affected by the recent banings as a result of privacy concerns:

Ad (myself) would like to extend a personal apology to members who were removed from the site for connections to the entity in question, and also to names who were confirmed to have no part in the current situation. These names are as follows: Selcar, Flarecarrot, Thirdeye, Archer, Cannibal lovely, Miniar, and Hydroark.  These individuals, if members OKA, may appeal via email to have their memberships reinstated. Reinstatement will be granted so long as the rules are followed.  Also, Ad would like to extend his personal thanks to Miniar for working with our other administrator, Qarael, in a reasonable and exceptional manner, to see that the problem was resolved quickly and with due respect to the people involved.
